Nana's note: Good. Marlene's recipe for this soup is seasoned with 1/2 t thyme, 1/4 t basil, 1/8 t pepper and says - stretch with tomato juice.

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 lbs. can tomatoes, cut up
3 med. carrots, peeled and sliced
2 med. potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c chopped celery
3 c water
3 beef bouillon cubes
1 1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1/2 head cabbage
1 can corn
1 can green beans
Brown beef; drain off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients, except green beans and corn. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15-25 minutes. Add beans and corn, continue to summer until done.
*Makes 5-6 servings. This soup is almost as thick as stew.
